Snowed In:Montreal

Last week was absolutely wild—we had two massive snowfalls on February 12 and February 15, dumping over 73 cm of snow in just four days! That’s as much snow as we usually get in an entire month, and it broke a record. Everything came to a halt. Roads were buried, schools were closed from Thursday to Tuesday, and we were told to stay home because it could take the city up to 8 days to clear all the snow.

Snowed In, Cozy & Grateful

Being snowed in meant extra family time, which was actually really nice. We stayed warm and comfy at home, making the most of the unexpected break. I couldn’t go on my daily walks because the snow was so deep, but I tried to embrace the moment. The view outside is breathtaking—I feel like I’m living in a real-life snow globe, surrounded by towering snowbanks and trees blanketed in white.

The Reality of This Much Snow

Despite the beauty, this much snow has been a challenge. I saw a snowplow stuck in the snow, and the driver had to shovel around the truck just to move it. I’ve experienced many winters, but I have never seen this much snow accumulate so quickly in my life. It makes me wonder—will winter stick around longer this year?

Do You Get Winter Where You Are?

This snowfall has been a wild ride, and it’s made me curious—do you experience winter where you live? How much snow do you have right now? Have you ever been snowed in like this? Let me know in the comments!

For now, we’re embracing the snow-covered world outside and enjoying these cozy days indoors. ❄️
